BIA Innovator Campus, supported by  Teagasc – Ireland’s Agriculture and Food Development Authority – is hiring a Food Technologist to help deliver technical expertise, training, and innovation support to food entrepreneurs and small food producers.

Teagasc is the national body providing integrated research, advisory and education services to the agri-food sector. Through this role, Teagasc is deepening its commitment to support start-ups and scaling businesses in the food industry by funding a dedicated technologist at the BIA Innovator Campus in Athenry.

The successful candidate will work closely with client companies using the co-working kitchens and production units. You’ll lead on food safety systems (HACCP), equipment onboarding, training, and support product and process development for early-stage food businesses. You’ll also link into Teagasc’s wider Food Industry Development team and national food research centres.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role that combines technical expertise with innovation support – ideal for someone with a background in food science and a passion for helping Irish food businesses grow.
