Our Not-for-Profit Model

The BIA Innovator Campus is a CLG not-for-profit organization (NPO), an entity that operates for a social, educational, charitable, or community purpose rather than to make a profit. Any surplus income is reinvested into the organisations instead of being distributed to owners or shareholders.

How We Reinvest in Innovation

We are committed to reinvesting in innovation by allocating resources money, time, talent, and infrastructure to continually develop new ideas, products, or processes. It’s a proactive commitment to staying competitive, solving problems, and creating value.

We achieve this by:

1. Funding Supports Invested Strategically

We utilise funding supports specifically for R&D or innovation initiatives.

We support new start- ups and established businesses through funding supports and innovation vouchers to achieve their growth objectives.

2. Build an Innovation Culture

Promote cross-functional collaboration and openness to new ideas, through collaborative partnerships with organisations such as Teagasc, B.I.M, Enterprise Ireland, Bord Bia, ATU, and other such organisations.

Offer entrepreneurship program initiatives, to help pitch and develop new ideas.

3. Invest in People

We help develop creative talent through a wide range of training programs both technical and business supports for different sized organisations equipping them with the required knowledge to achieve sustainable value within their business.

We bring in external innovators or consultants when required to cross-pollinate ideas.

4. Allocate Time and Space

We provide the perfect environment, through our fully equipped co -sharing kitchen facilities together with the support of our Innovation & Technical team supports to deliver the required result.

We have access to additional supports through our collaborative partnership with the National Food Centre (Teagasc), access to various process equipment.

5. Embrace Emerging Tech and Trends

BIA has invested in Sustainability to help reduce our Carbon Footprint.

We have partnered with universities and research institutions to access cutting-edge technologies.

We have delivered AI workshops and continue to review new technologies.

Cost Transparency

Here at the BIA Innovator Campus, we are very clear, open, and accurate on disclosing our costs associated with a product, service, or project. It enables stakeholders customers, clients, or internal teams to understand what they are paying for and why, enabling trust and accountability at all times.

Value for Money

We target to ensure the money spent achieves the best possible outcome relative to the cost invested. Identifying the most effective and efficient solution in terms of quality, sustainability, and the desired result is our objective at all times.
